Regular Members | Attorney Members & Associate Members

Regular members of the North Carolina Land Title Association are Corporations duly licensed by the State of North Carolina Department of Insurance to insure North Carolina real estate titles in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina, or issue assurances insuring such titles. There are two main categories of Regular members (with subcategories):

• Title Insurance Underwriters | Application
  Insure NC real estate titles in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina
  • Underwriter Main Offices (annual dues $1000 plus mandatory special assessment of $2700)
  • Branch Offices (annual dues $110 per branch office)
  • Directory & Mailing Listings for Additional Personnel at the same address (annual dues $50 per person)
• Title Agencies | Application
  Issue assurances insuring NC real estate titles in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina as an agent for a title insurance underwriter that is duly licensed by the State of North Carolina to insure NC real estate titles.
  • Agency Main Offices (annual dues $700* plus mandatory special assessment of $1000)
  • Branch Offices (annual dues $110 per branch office)
  • Directory & Mailing Listings for Additional Personnel at the same address (annual dues $50 per person)

  * (first-year title agencies pay one-third of full agency annual dues--$350;
     second-year title agencies pay two-thirds of full agency annual dues--$450.)

Attorney Members | Application | Regular Members
Attorney members are those persons who are duly licensed to practice law in the State of North Carolina who are of sound character and not eligible for membership as a Regular Member (title company or agency). Annual dues for Attorney Members are $100.

Associate Members | Application | Regular Members
Associate members are those persons associated directly or indirectly with the title insurance business persons who are not otherwise eligible for membership as a Regular Member (title company or agency), or Attorney Member. Annual dues for Associate Members are $75 for Individuals and $200 for Companies.
