Annual Convention (See Calendar of Events)
Membership in NCLTA and attendance at its annual convention provides attorneys with a forum from which to learn about developments affecting closing and lending industries (both nationally and locally) as well as an opportunity for

  • Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits on pertinent and timely topics,
  • Associating with colleagues in the title insurance industry,
  • Enhancing the necessary working relationship between attorneys and title companies, and
  • Enjoying recreation and social activities in attractive locations.
The annual convention also promotes a relaxed and personable interaction with colleagues in attractive locations.

Forms Development (See Forms)
Membership in the Association enables attorneys to provide input into the Association's development of new forms used in obtaining title insurance and other matters relating to real estate closings. The Association has worked cooperatively with the NC Bar Association Real Property Section to issue a joint Opinion of Title Form and with the NC Society of Surveyors to prepare a Uniform Survey Report Form.

The Association's Executive Committee includes an Attorney Section Representative who represents attorney member interests in the governing and policy-making level of the Association.
